Our client is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join their team in Prague. This position focuses on manual testing for biometric systems, including fingerprint and facial recognition technologies. You will manage the entire test lifecycle for various software, such as device drivers, biometric libraries, middleware, and applications.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and configuring test environments, executing tests using various tools, documenting results, and resolving bugs. Additionally, you will contribute to developing test techniques, such as spoofing fingerprint readers and testing cameras under different lighting conditions. You will also be involved in qualifying drivers and hardware.
Requirements:
- Software testing and QA, particularly in identification and authentication
- Manual software testing and managing the software test lifecycle
- Various testing methodologies including BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Integration Testing
- Proficiency in either Windows or Linux, with at least basic knowledge of the other OS, and the ability to set up and execute tests on these systems
Nice to have:
- Programming skills in Python, C, C++, or C#
- DevOps experience
- Knowledge of source code management and configuration (preferably Git)
- Windows or Linux installation and administration
- Familiarity with VMware, Docker, TestRail, and Jenkins (including writing Jenkinsfiles)
- Testing on Android or iOS
